FAQs
Do I have the ability to link to multiple Instagram accounts with Facebook?
One of the great aspects of each platform is the fact that they allow you to manage multiple accounts or pages that share the same login. This allows you to effortlessly switch between your personal and professional profiles. You can link multiple Instagram accounts to the same Facebook page. All you have to do is follow the steps with the individual Instagram account.
What happens if I forget my Instagram password or email address?
You don’t have an email address either? You won’t get any judgment from me! I currently manage six email accounts (I believe), so that’s a lot), so I know how it is possible to not remember which email address goes with which account.
If you aren’t able to recall the details of your email address, you can at the very least keep track of your username, phone number, or Facebook account that is associated with your account.
You are able to change your Instagram password using a phone number or Facebook account.
According to the steps shared previously, the steps are easy.
If I connect my accounts to one and that account gets compromised, will the second one also be compromised?
Even after linking the two accounts, they have their own logins (yes, you are able to log in using the Facebook option on Instagram, but they’re not distinct). If your Instagram account is compromised, or vice versa, it doesn’t necessarily mean that your Facebook account is also under threat.
You should update your login information on both to ensure optimum security, but generally, just because someone gets into one account does not mean that they have access to both.
What’s wrong with me? Why can’t I receive the email to reset my password from Instagram?
If you didn’t receive your email on Instagram in order to reset your password, try giving it a couple of minutes and then be patient. (It’s difficult, I know!)
If you’ve been waiting about 10 minutes and are still waiting, ensure you have a reliable internet connection. If you’re in a location with weak connectivity or no reception, return to step 3. Try resending the Instagram auto-response email.
It’s time to look into the other folders within the inbox of your emails. For instance, I have Gmail, and my forgotten account password from Instagram was sent to my “promotions” folder.
Be sure to look through every possible folder in your mail account. If you are still unable to see your email address, then you might require a reset of your spam filter. After that, comply with the instructions above in order to obtain a new password from Instagram.
I’m unable to get access to the email address associated with my Insta account. What should I do?
If you are unable to access the email address associated with your IG account, you may create a new one using either your phone number or the Facebook account that you have shared previously.
If these avenues result in a dead end, Instagram recommends contacting your email service provider.
